Job Description

One of our prestigious clients in the UAE is looking for an experienced Civil Estimation & Procurement Engineers to join their team. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and have 3–5 years of relevant experience, including UAE experience. The position is based at the head office. SALARY: AED 3,500–4,500 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bills of quantities (BOQs) for civil construction projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine material, labour, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare cost breakdowns and pricing schedules for construction materials, labour, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Handle procurement activities for civil construction materials, equipment, and related supplies.
• Identify suitable suppliers, negotiate prices and payment terms, and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Prepare purchase requests, purchase orders, and procurement documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and other departments to confirm project requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor material prices, market trends, and supplier performance to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Compare supplier quotations and prepare commercial evaluations and recommendations.
• Ensure that procured materials meet project specifications, quality requirements, and approved budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement transactions.
• Monitor procurement schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Support tender preparation, cost planning, budget monitoring, and value engineering activities.
• Ensure all estimation and procurement activities comply with company procedures and project requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in civil estimation and procurement.
• UAE experience is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, and material procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and cost-control skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimation or construction software.
• Good communication and coordination skills when dealing with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Willingness to work in a head office-based environment.
